That (the second clause) is unlikely, if you're buying new, with two exceptions that I know of:

Yeah. I don't expect the option of lower price and no fancy (or otherwise) box. I like that Franklin-Christoph uses pen pouches instead of boxes. (Hello, Pilot! Take note! Even Pelikan's getting on that train.)
