I have bought an Esterbrook J and the cap jewel is damaged, I am thinking or making a replacemet out of Hedonite or Agate. What are you thoughts about this, sacrilege?
Cheers, Cris.

Bruce from Ocala, FL, had one that was made from copper, in a copper J pen.  It was beautiful.  A custom jewel can be a beautiful enhancement to a J.

You might search out the post of a few years ago.

I used an opal for the one I made for my daughter. It looks nice.

I have also made one from a brass stud.

Do you have the extra slim version for the LJ?

A real opal? That sounds great, any pictures?

Also, did anyone ever find out what happened to Bruce from Ocala? Very helpful guy.

Have not heard from Bruce in a while but he is active on FaceBook...I don’t play there so I can’t connect you.

I'm glad to learn that Bruce is well. I miss his presence on FPN as he was a very positive force.

Thanks. I don't involve myself in Facebook. I'll ask someone who does. Sorry for straying off topic.
