Endless Pen Lamy Sale

OCArt

Recommended Posts

Well, I hope the tax payment is simple (and if possible not requested at all, like when you buy something from China...) because I just ordered a Lamy 2000 BB and a Lamy Bronze ink bottle.

I have wanted a Lamy 2000 for years and I have wanted a BB nib for years... The price was irresistible and temptation was just too strong.

Now I have to wait... up to 4 months!

Well, this was not a necessity, so I guess I can cope with that.

There was a BB nib? I only see up to B now, for the makrolon version, hm.

edit: I'm pretty happy with my EF choice from earlier preorder phase. From what I understand, EF is stub-ish, from multiple reports, and a bit springy, so I thought it's a great daily writer option. Particularly love the writing sample in this review:

I have moved past my Pokemon phase but I'm still glad you posted that. I smile a little every time I see that pen. Just not a $180 smile :D

Curious about where these come from. I thought the Pikachu was a Limited Edition specific to China and extremely hard to get? My point being... why is this U.S. retailer selling a non-US pen? Or is the Lamy Pikachu about to become readily available in the US?

Regardless, I hope their pre-order system works well because I've got a Momento Zero on preorder from them.

I don't think any US retailers will get them, according to what I've been hearing at least (apart from ebay ??). I'm an avid Lamy SE collector so I already put my order in! Free shipping over $145 and I dont have to go through China, I already had a vibrant pink ink so will probably re-gift the free one that comes with this order to my niece....nothing like a good ol re-gift

I've had confirmed to me else where from someone in the know that Endless Pens are not official Lamy resellers (nor Pelikan) so these are probably bought on the grey market. it is only available in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan (and maybe South Korea). A friend of mine tried buying one direct from China but when his UK address was processed his order was cancelled. I got myself and my friend one from Hong Kong, via another friend. So far it's cost me £124.78 before duty and tax (for the pair).

They have a special sale of the Lamy Dialog 3 Piano White Fountain Pen this weekend.

Much better than during their Christmas/YearEnd sales - $185 including free shipping. (At that time $202 or 212 plus shipping, don't remember exactly.)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
