Is there Mont Blanc Official Sleeve or Pouch for 149 series. I read in forums that official ones snuggly fits the 149. Any help would be appreciated.

They fit snugly. And that is a good thing. You dont want your pen to fall out of the pouch and onto the floor. The westside pen pouch is my personal favourite for the Meisterstück149.

I've got the three pen version of the westside. It can be hard to get the pen out sometimes.I've got a two pen case in a blue colour and a larger non MB case that will stake a small ruler etc.

One of the best methods of carriage is the sort of pouch that come with cheap reading glasses. The main issue is dropping the pen.I have snapped the filler end off a couple of Lamy2k's that I have dropped.

I don't post, and think it would scratch anyway (perhaps precious resin don't scratch?),

Prices vary,Look for bargains at airports or MB shops.I've never seen the use of a one pen case,

My issue with the Montblanc branded pen pouches is that they all have a weird, polyester liner on the inside that is extremely raspy and causes little microscratches on the pen. There is no excuse for them not using suede or something on the inside.

I have not noticed this phenomenon at all. My pens do not get scratched inside MB pen pouches. Micro and macro scratches are a result of collisions with the real world outside the secure shelter of a good pen case.

I have a simple sartorial pen sleeve and a 4810 westside 2 pen pouch. Neither has caused any scratches to my pens. The westside holds my 146 ultrablack and Exiprèy the sartorial holds my heritage spider RB.

I have found neither is large enough for my Beatles which is stored in a Visconti 6 pen case.

Prices £90-£130, but some sellers as little as £20 and they have a white star on that seems familiar. The posted reviews on the cheap ones are quite good so i just wondered what the general view on this is.Is a fake pen case acceptable? I'm just asking, as i said above i have two legit ones, a very good other make, and also use reading glass pouches.

When you get the pen case it comes in a box and also has a little linen bag.I try to keep my case in the linen bag to protect the case.I haven't got anything to protect the linen bag.....Yet.

I love your sense of humour.

The Florence case is designed to fit the 149. It comes in and out of production. I think currently its not in the catalog. But it's relatively easy to find on evil bay.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
