Hello all.

 

This is my review for the penhouse.in inks. Attached below are the swatches of violet (above), and turquoise (below). The paper I have used is the Thought Slot dotted inserts which are readily available on amazon.in. The pen I have used is the Camlin KOKUYO Trinity, which I also got from penhouse.in. The turquoise ones show some amount of feathering on the paper, while the violet does not have the issue.

 

The ink takes about 3 seconds to dry. It is not waterproof. This isn't available in cartridges, but the ink comes in plastic bottles, and costs about Rs. 30, or ~$0.5.

 

The turquoise was kind of disappointing, it seems to be more of a bright blue than a greenish blue shade that I was expecting. The violet is bright and lovely, and writing with it seems like a charm.

Thanks for the review. I am planning to order all of their ink color. Nothing much information is available about them. The minimum order is 1000 so wanted to have some info about it. Do you have other colors as well?

As far as I know, its 1000 rs for free shipping right? My total order for what I bought was 350 rs. And no I don't own other colours.

My bad. I thought the order has to be above 1000 because I bought from bril and they have minimum order of 500. I contacted penhouse because some of the inks are out of stock. Also they told me there will be more hero inks available in a week so I will wait for that.

I have recently purchased the same two inks from them (Violet and Turquoise Blue) and have been testing them on various pens to see which one likes them better. So far my experiences have been similar to yours, Violet looks bright and nice whereas the TB looks slightly washed out to me.

Yes! Probably a difference in the formula? I am not really sure. The violet is beautiful though.

If you mix those two inks, you will have a beautiful blue ink.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Yes. they come in 100 ml bottles. Bottles are made of cheap plastic.

smruthib, how did the mixing - if you got around to it - come out? Would be definitely curious. Amberlea's color mixing suggestions are usually on the dot and I know some of us have tried something similar, and come up with beautiful blue inks.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
