I have this Nicolas Rieussec in stainless - it's a limited edition of a special edition (X/100)

It has a cool party trick (lume)!

I'm currently saving for a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Gen 2 chrono

Do pairing of me food and wine. Give no consideration to coordinating me watches and pens....

Whatever floats your boat. Enjoy.

Take care...Safe journey...

I am old school on watches , most of the ones I have are pre 1955 . I don't really pair them but would pair my Rose Gold PP Caltrava ( 1945-1950 ) with a Wahl Greek key if I could find one of them in Rose Gold , not likely . My 1953 Oyster Precision goes with anything .

That would look good with anything . Beautiful , and that from a person that does not normally care for newwatches .

This is me .

Me too! These days I'm wearing my Seiko 5 the vast majority of the time (no pun intended) as the more digital the world becomes, the more I appreciate an automatic watch! Somewhat like typing on a computer versus writing with a fountain pen.... Now if I could find a self-filling fountain pen I'd be set. ;)

one of my two watches. A no-name chinese mechanical 21 jewel, and my vostok, a russian military dive watch.

I pair all pens with my two watches. Because I only have two.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

I like the understated non vulgar set up myself so with that in mind its an 18ct day date with diamonds and matching bracelet and some form of precious metal, as opposed to precious resin, writing instrument......happy days !

Two pens or two watches or both?

And military watches are great! I've been keeping my eye out for a Polish one; I'm not aware of any Polish fountain pen brands, though.

No one ever posts pictures answering my burning questions like posts or wires on your earrings. Acrylic or natural nails. Matte eyeshadow or satin. I’m firmly in the no false lashes camp of pen carry, let me warn you now. (No satire was harmed in the making of this post.)

Ghost, I guarantee you do NOT want me giving you answers to those questions, although I think my wife's earrings are on posts, and they go remarkably well with the platinum 149 O3B I sometimes carry.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
