Swapping Nibs Between Pilot Custom 743 And 823?

Hello, just curious if the nibs of these two pens could be swapped. They have the same sized #15 nib, so in theory it should make sense, but I'm wondering if anyone has done it. Thanks!

Yes, it's somewhat common to swap an interesting nib from a 743 to a 823 if you don't feel like waiting for months for a Tokyo Quill special order.

It works fine. I've found the increased flow with the 823 works particularly well with the PO and FA nibs.

 

If you like, you could also swap the 845 nibs between the 743 and 823  ;)
