Cult Pens General

I have been buying from Cult mainly for items that cant be purchased in U.S. readily. For example certain Faber Castell highlighters. I must say that Cult ships first class brand new items in perfect condition. I bought some of the same items on Amazon and they arrived in what looked like used condition, tattered packaging, aged packaging, outdated items of that product. I returned them all too. I must say that I like Cult Pens very much and also learned today that they had a free shipping policy which I never knew about as I limited my orders as it was easy to wind up at 25 BP just for shipping.

I bought some Pelikan nibs from Cult pens, and, at the time the price was relatively low and shipping prompt. A good deal.

I am sorry they (Cult Pens) had to raise their free shipping minimum, but understand why completely. Their service is great and with the currently weak pound against the dollar makes one feel like an internationalist not afraid to work across boarders for qual8ty and service.

Check out some bulk ordering on Diamine Inks -- factors right now for their free shipping make it MUCH less costly than US prices.

I only use Cult Pens, usually for inks and Rhodia pads - fantastic service, great website and prices are good, and I saw they have 10% offer on Diamine at the moment, so more of that to come my way too!!

Over the years, Cult Pens have become my preferred international supplier. I think they’re fantastic.

I have primarily used to them to get diamine inks that were out of stock in other US/Canada stores. Never had any issues in dealing with them. Up until recently they had some specials on fountain pens, looks like it has ended.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
