That's the one I've been waiting for! Now tell me it's a Japan-only model .....

Beautiful pen. I really would rethink the Diamine Hope Pink though!! :)

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

Yes, sorry about the Japan-only :-/

If not Hope Pink, how about R & K Solferino.....?

Drat! TWSBI really should make this pen more widely available, I'm sure it would be a hit.

Solferino? Sixties psychedelia! Enjoy your lovely pen

Oooo love it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I ordered my first Eco this evening, a black version with stub nib. I agree with others. The Sunset Orange would be popular. Clear, black and white are so very basic. Is TWSBI aware of our forum?

If so, hey TWSBI please release the Sunset Orange Eco worldwide.

Its NOT Japan only. Many USA vendors are going to stock it. Ive already ordered my stub here.

Why Japan Only anyway? TWSBI is a Chinese (Taiwan) company...right?

Oh...wait...my mistake. I was thinking this was the new Ltd Edition TRANSPARENT Orange that is coming out today. This is about the opaque orange color. Yuk! Pooey! No likey opaque colors. I have the other transparent colors and want to add the new transparent orange.

That's a beautiful pen. I randomly stumbled upon this picture and ended up ordering one for myself from Japan.

Thanks for sharing this. Going to ink it with Pilot Iroshizuku Yu-yake...

Thanks to a link provided by Fountanpencrazy, one of these will be mine. It costs a premium, but my that pen is so pretty. I was thinking about getting another Eco, and now it’s on order.

I received my Sunset Eco yesterday, but only got it filled with Lamy neon Coral late. I received The Planetary Report magazine too, and it had an interesting photo.

It matches the sunset nicely. I also bought a Kaweco Sport Fox recently, and it is close but not quite the same Orange.

I really love the cheerful color of the Sunset Orange Eco. I have learned the Eco does not have its own nib for sale. I was sold a Diamond 580 1.1mm nib, but it will not work on any of my pens. So I will have to exchange it for a diamond mini 1.1mm nib at pen club on the 26th.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
