Yes, this includes Lamy Petrol AND Dark Lilac!

A VERY generous FPNer has gone to a lot of effort to make this happen. I am only the shipper and poster, the mysterious benefactor has purchased, packaged and paid for CONUS shipping for of all these wonderful PIFs.

I'm going to do this in a few rounds, the first round had 10 recipients. This round will have five *but maybe more.

Here is what is in the package:

A sample vial of 2016 LE Lamy Dark Lilac & a sample vial Or cartridge of 2017 LE Lamy Petrol. This means that some will receive 2 sample vials (one of each ink) and others will receive a sample vial of Dark Lilac and a Lamy Petrol cartridge. What the recipients will receive will also be random. Though if you have a Lamy pen, you can include that in your post so that I try and distribute the cartridges to people who have Lamy pens.

In a protective pocket:

Staples Bagasse lined (no longer available) (IF=ink friendly, thin OS=one side use)
Rhodia graph (IF, TS=two side use)
Tom Bihn lined/graph/plain (Not IF, demonstrates feathering issues)
Whitelines (IF, and TS depending on ink and nib)

To be eligible, you must have 100 posts and not received one of these packages before. Post your reply here. This round will end when I have five eligible parties. If you have less than 100 posts, you may still be considered if you tell us how you will use the ink.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Thank you for time doing this, and a big thank you to the benefactor!

Sign me up! I would love to be a beneficiary of this PIF. Mostly I will use these inks for sampling and comparison with other inks, and also for CRVs.

I have many Lamy pens so cartridges are fine with me.

Heh. I'll never be able to get up to 100 posts with school and all. Good luck to the winners! Could I be counted in if I'll use it for school work?

Hey, I'd like to participate.

I have less than 100 posts as I've just recently joined the forums (although the account is not new). If i was lucky enough to win, I would use the ink for school work, especially in Math, AP Human Geography, and Physics classes in which heavy note taking is involved. I love experimenting with new colors, and would be delighted to try this PIF. I don't have a lamy pen at the moment, but I may have to get a Safari in the future. Thanks for posting this!

My Lamy unobtanium inks arrived today. Thank you Amberlea, as well as our mysterious benefactor, for this generous PIF!

P.S. Flipping a standard long Lamy cartridge around will make it into a standard international long cartridge.

Thanks for everything you do Amber!

The goodies arrived today! Thank you so much for selecting me! I apologize for my handwriting, however it has improved much since I started using fountain pens. Thanks again!

I know I'm the newest one yet, but I too just joined the forum. Funny thing, today I just got my first fountain pen, a TWSBI eco. I would love to be considered for one of these packages. As an 11th grader, I would use the ink for my ink heavy Calc class.

Thanks,

Paul

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
