Hats Off To Goulet Pens

IndigoBOB

Recommended Posts

I have started many threads, I've done a few reviews with just as much praise, but this is the first time I've been trolled.

I asked the moderators to step in early to stop the trolling and they refused.

This is disappointing. I have been to pen shows, met wonderful new people in this pen community, but this is the first time I've been trolled.

Say what you guys want. This is nothing but mindless trolling by people looking to troll. It's that simple and that sad.

Jokes are not trolling. He was not fishing for a negative response. He was poking fun at something that had nothing to do with where you (and a few others) took this.

You really, really need to relax, Bob. It's okay. we're all still friends here with a silly, expensive hobby that the majority of us could easily rationalize as some form of addiction.

Please don't insult me for taking the side of rational discourse. I defended your platform of "goulet is an amazing company" multiple times. We just had a little fun, not even at your expense. Good lord. Chill. Nobody trolled you.

This thread needs to be burned and buried in the back 40 and forgotten by all.

Maybe it's because of how I grew up, or the fact that I'm a recovering addict myself, but the only offensive posts I've read here have been from those claiming to be offended.

Aside from the numerous rule violations regarding personal attacks on other members, that alone is ban worthy in my opinion (thankfully I'm not a moderator), this thread is little more than mud slinging in a pig pen. It ain't mud you're throwing.

Go ahead, block me. I don't care. Taking that action speaks more to your character than my own.

In short, grow up or put on your helmets folks. Life, and the internet especially, is a bumpy ride. We all have more important matters to waste our ire on.

Yes, we can definitely tell you are a recovering addict flinging your own mud into it as well. Heed your words and get yourself healthy before you can think you can help others.

Just another troll.

I give up. No hard feelings, but grow up, Bob. You are being really, really, spiteful, poisonous and toxic to people here who have said nothing even remotely hurtful to you. That was a hurtful and spiteful thing to say to someone who bared some very personal information. I can't even begin to plumb the depths of everything horrible about what you just said to theLorekeeper. You're talking to another human being. Act like it.

this dumpster fire needs to just be locked.

You have no idea what the word "troll" even means, Bob.

There you're wrong: he totally does. I agree with you in all the rest.

Bob still owes a big apology to theLorekeeper (at the very least) but, anyway, this thread is disgraceful and should be locked.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
