Hmmmm.

I'd have to see this one in person. I'm not big on demonstrators to start with, and the spring is decidedly odd.

Don't have time to watch the video now. Maybe I'll change my mind after seeing it.

Hmmm, that pen doesn't really appeal to me. I do like the look of many other TWSBI pens, but to me this one looks like it's made for children. I guess at least it's not very expensive!

I've got a blog!

It looks really fun. It could be my son's second fountain pen (after the Lamy abc he's currently using).

A pump filler? Auto-draw filler? As long as it's affordable and comes with TWSBI nibs, I'm hooked!

Why is the plunger so large? They could have easily increased the ink capacity by making it a multi-stroke plunger, much like the Wing Sung 601.

That's the simplest self - filler man has ever thought of.

I am still not buying any Twsbi pens....

But this is interesting.

I guess that's the point - they've sacrificed capacity for ease of use. The name makes sense in that respect - if the video is anything to go by, I'm not sure I've seen a *quicker* filling mechanism.

(Cue many replies showing me quicker filling mechanisms ;))

Sheaffer Touchdowns and Snorkels, Parker 61 capillary fillers, a lot of piston fillers....

(Well, I've done theatre, and cues are important.... B)

For $18.99 I would try one. It also seems to be available with all of the nibs from XF to 1.1 Stub. I wonder if uses ECO nibs.

Interesting... It does not have a screw cap, cannot be posted and it is their first pump filler.

Looks like this might be geared toward a younger audience.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
