Cm Nib With Shimmer?

Does anyone have any experience with the Prera CM nib using Blue Flame or other shimmering inks? Will it clog? Thanks! :-D

As long as you don't leave the pen inked and unused for weeks (regular use is key for shimmer inks) or left nib-down for the particles to descend down into the feed and clog it, you'll have no problems. That CM nib can sometimes be quite dry, so depending on yours (I have one that's crazy wet and one that's veeeeeeeery dry) you may have to either open up the tines or prime the feed when you want maximum shimmer.

My Prera CM is dry and dries up quite readily. (Does not offer a good seal) May I suggest finishing the ink in less than 3days unless you enjoy inks that have turned darker and possibly sheen.

 

I would not ink it with shimmer inks You want a good flow of that shimmer onto the paper. CM nib is better at spreading and evenly distributing ink out than allowing it to stack on top of paper. The final amount of ink on paper and amount of shimmer might not put a smile on your face, that's my guess
