As some of you may know Poland is one of biggest exporters of cosmetics, furniture and fruits. But we also have inks. Or, to be more precise, one ink maker – KWZI. Konrad offers handmade inks in more than sixty colors. You can check his website here.

Liquid Words is LE ink brewed for participants of polish Pen Show 2017. The ink is heavily saturated and was available for short time and in limited quantity.

Flow: This ink is wet and dense. It flows well, I haven't experienced any hard starts or skipping..
Saturation: well saturated ink. There are stronger purples on the market, but for me, this level of saturation works fine.
Lubrication: good and pleasant.
Drying time: It can take a while, depending on the nib you use. 15-20 seconds on Rhodia, 5 – 8 seconds on absorbent paper.
Feathering: present on bad quality papers.
Bleedthrough: experienced only on Moleskine (crappiest paper ever)
Water resistance: nope.

I think Mr & Mrs KWZI told us that if this ink is well received they’ll make it part of the regular line, but without the liquid words name and label.

I love it because it's my favourite colour (dark purple to purple-black, going on to aubergine). If "Liquid Words" -- a fantastic name -- incl. LE are to be revamped, what will the new (reg) name be??

Yes!! pretty please...

I would buy more than one bottle of this concoction.

It will join and probably go straight up to Nº1, in the purple options.

Others being used fairly regularly, Dark Lilac Mix (by Migo), Lavender Purple (MB), Suma Purple (Kobe/Sailor), Shigure (Sailor), Grey Plum (KWZ), Aubergine (DA)

I would definitely want a bottle of this, no matter what they call it. Can't have too many purples....

Is this a standard ink or an IG?

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

OH YEAH Love it!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
