Hi everyone.

 

Got into fountain pens about two years ago when I started buying a few cheap Chinese fountain pens. I upped my game quite a bit last year when buying a beautiful Conid Bulkfiller.

However I still like affordable pens as well, so more recently I got a Moonman M2, as well as a few models from ASApens, a pen manufacturer from Chennai (India).

 

Also like to try out various inks, especially from Diamine as these tend to be relatively inexpensive overhere in Europe.

 

Hope to be able to contribute to discussions overhere & thanks for having me,

Hello and welcome to the club! I hope you'll like what you find here, and share a thing or two of your own :) Conid is a very good choice imagining you went for the demo finish, but their other finishes look nice as well. Netherlands is a really nice place to have this hobby, as you guys have some of the best dealers in Europe. Anyway, welcome again, and enjoy the show

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
