Orange Fountain Pen Recommendations

Sheaffer made some Persimmon Orange Preludes, but they never sold them. About 5 of them made their way out of the service center before it closed in 2008. I got one, Richard Binder also snagged one when we visited the service center in February 2008. I assume that the rest were destroyed a month later.

How about an orange Pilot Vanishing Point?

Im a bit embarrassed I didnt think of this. However, Im not a big fan of the orange/black contrast I see in all the google image photos Im seeing. Generally orange+black is amazing but the VP design isnt doing it for me. The orange+chrome is a bit better. Great idea though :)

Wow, talk about one of a kind! Err, five of a kind :) But incredibly exclusive! A great looking pen!

Orange ... very nice and summer is coming  .

I recommend the Delta pens (I know Delta is out of business but sometimes you might get some pens available in stock).

My orange Delta pens are Delta Dolcevita Stantuffo Oro and Delta Dolcevita Tech&Web Stantuffo EOL.

The Stantuffo Oro is a complete orange pen whereas the Tech&Web is mixed with white cap section and knob. The orange color is looking very nice and fresh.

If you want "orange complete" then I recommend the Nagasawa Kobe Ink #25 Tarumi Apricot.

You will find more details in my short presentation of these two Delta pens here ... https://schreibkultur.requirements.de/?p=910&lang=de.

Regards, Ingolf

P.S.: The Kobe ink is a very intense ink. So be careful when you get the ink on your fingers ... it´s a long lasting ink  .

Beautiful pens!! Makes me sad that some of these companies like Delta arent around anymore :(

Someone else also mentioned Tarumi Apricot - I definitely like the look of this pen!

Delta Dolcevita Fusion Oro

it's a peculiar pen for Delta, it's in celluloide nitrate

Id be afraid one of my kids will get hold of it and inadvertently set the house on fire ^_^ But wow, it looks amazing - Ive heard the nitrate celluloid has a lot of depth in person!

What dont you like about the section? Or youre just not a fan of the way Safari sections force you to hold the pen in general? Let me know if you are in fact looking for a buyer!

In general, the section is too narrow for my liking. Couple that with the shape and forced hand position and it makes for an unpleasant experience.

Ron, destroyed? Why? Give them away. Auction them off for charity. The only sane reason for doing that is to increase the value of the few that are left. Who was in charge of them when they were destroyed?

Seems a wasteful shame.

Looking for a black SJ Transitional Esterbrook Pen. (It's smaller than an sj)

Sheaffer. A heck of a lot more than that went away when the service center in the factory building was emptied.

Come on...

How 'bout a good 'ole Duofold?

They are called "RED", but I think they look "ORANGE"!

Sheaffer made Snorkles in both Vermillion (orange) and Fiesta Red (red/orange). Cadets also came in Vermillion, later in the run; I have one.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

There's an orange option half way down the page on this group buy

Add lightness and simplicate.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
