I've done some of these before. IantheJock did a bunch of custom grinds on some inexpensive pens. We usually give these out to students - these are the remaining ones, or pens that others have sent to me to share.

 

I will stop at 5 this time, but I may find more so if you are interested, post here.

 

To be eligible, you must have given a PIF in the past or started one now. - That's a PIF here on FPN. Place a link in your response.

 

This PIF will include a pen and an ink sample or two. I may include other stuff, but I don't know yet. I'm cleaning out my FP/ink stash.

 

Winners to pay shipping so this is open internationally.

Not an entry, very generous.

 

I would like to see the GIFTED PIFs later, especially the cucumber (custom) grinds. The auto-correction this did, not me! LOL... Or I think so... Anyway, I like anything having t do with custom grinds.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off.
