FPN appearing slow

Dearest Member or Visitor of the little Fountain Pen Nut house on the digital prairie,
Due to a continuing DDoS attack, and a hardware malfunction, FPN is moving only slowly. Hosting Support is dealing with both issues, but unfortunately both take time. Until these both resolve, FPN will continue to be slow. ETA is not available yet. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thank you for the additional detail. Having tried to research it further on the internet I found next to nothing on this model pen (no images of any others).

I have put it on the well know auction site at the lower end of the estimate, trying to account for the cap/restoration.

Indeed there is little information on it.  I saw your auction. The approach is smart and fair. Best of luck!

I am still very interested in the cause of the failure of the caps.  It seems that the presence of the ink at the base of the inner cap is causing this problem.  I have seen it in many Reliefs.  We need a chemist to tell us what is this material that is so susceptible to this...  I am also looking for a safe way to protect the pens that are not damaged yet.  Maybe a coating of something  on the inner cap that prevent the ink  from reaching and damaging the cap.  Or some kind of an idea of whether some kind of inks are more "damaging" than others.  All these are embryonic theories :) :)

This was the first and only resource I could find on the pen, shame none of the links work.

Hello, all. This lovely pen arrived, and is not part of my tiny but nice collection. Anyone looking for detailed specs, please let me know, and I'll do my best. It's a LOVELY restoration, the pictures don't do it justice. All the best, Ellis

Ellis-

Good to see you are still playing Esterbrook...

Bad to know you are still worthy competition!
