Curious about this because I've been wanting to know whether I'm missing out on anything by not using Tomoe River or Rhodia.

I've felt (not written on) Rhodia paper and it feels about the same as JK Cedar. Of course, Rhodia being imported it's expensive (at Makoba Chennai, 1 Rhodia notebook is Rs. 1060).

By the way, I haven't written on TNPL Platinum or Excel Bond but I've heard those are FP-friendly so I wrote those as well.

Well, TR is a thin paper that extremely good resistance to feathering.

Rhodia, Moleskin are good papers. But is it worth the premium in comparison with sasi Cedar or Bilt or Luxor. Hard to say. The Bilt Natural and Luxor Notebooks have some of the best papers I've written in. I've written with the wettest ink in the broadest nib I have. Both these are amazing and can give Rhodia a run for the money

Try Anokhi Bahi Khata notebook

it is not super white like Rhodia... but in terms of ink resistance, it outperforms even Rhodia...

That looks like a very nice notebook, good quality paper, pity they're not available online. If they were, I'd now be waiting for a couple of blank ones to wind their way to me... well maybe just as well, have too many untouched ones as it is... but, thanks for mentioning it here, and thanks for the review.

Good to see you posting again, too!

I find JK Cedar to be better than Rhodia. TR is the best I've tried.

Any idea where to buy Tomoe River in India?
