After a long time in the making the new WAHL-EVERSHARP DECOBAND tribute to the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel has arrived as seen in the pages of Pen World.

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a75/wahlnut/UNCAPPED%20DIAG_zpstgfd9ceq.jpgAvailable in Luxurious Mediterranean Blue with pearl-white accent rings and a special commemorative Cap band and lavish engraving even on the Chilton Style pneumatic piston shaft. The pen cap features a Mandala created by Sfaat artist David Friedman in miniature encased in a special magnifier window in the cap top.

The subject of the art is the 107th Psalm,a rather apropos theme for this pen and what it commemorates. It is available in both gold and Rhodium trim and in both the WAHL-EVERSHARP SUPERFLEX or FLEX number 8 nibs. Heres the ad that was just seen in the Pen World Magazine:

Syd, I have a friend to whom I would like to send a link for this pen. What I get is your general Decoband page and I'm concerned she wouldn't take the time to find the specific pen. Do you have a link you could recommend? Or could you add a "share" button?

Thanks.

Hi Syd,

Just saw your ad on the back cover of Fountain Pen Journal. Beautiful pen. Wish I could get a poster of that image. Gorgeous image.

BTW, no affiliation, just a wishful dreamer.

You mean a link like these:

I saw the pen and thought "holy moly, that is one good looking pen"

Expensive for me (sadly), bit, it looks nice. If anyone buys one, I would love to see your comments.

Beautiful pen and design, Syd!

The design on the cap end is gorgeous.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
