The only thing I am aware of is the Pen Show in October. Wondering if there is anything more.

thank you, I suppose the meetup is in Denver somewhere?

I believe this is the group that varies locations up and down the I-25 corridor. Past meetings have been in Longmont, Boulder, Denver, and Englewood.

Update:

I don't think the group is actively posting notices here about upcoming meetings, but there seems to be a lot of activity on other social media. For anyone else who may be interested in activities in/near Denver, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Longmont, and other parts of the Front Range:

Hi everyone here asking about the Colorado Pen Posse. I was just made aware that some notices used to be posted here on Fountain Pen Network of past meetings.

I am the person that has volunteered to help get the word out to our Colorado Community.

There is the facebook Colorado Facebook page - so you can find out notices of up coming meetings.

Recently there has been a group that has been created to increase dialog amongst the community. Then the newly created Instagram page.

As of May 26, 2018 -

We have a Colorado Pen Posse Meet ups Scheduled for June 2 11-1pm at Pints Pub, And again On September 8th . Pints Pub is located in Denver.

There will most likely be Pen Posse Socials scheduled for July and August - but those have not been determined. Plan on discussing these options at the next Pen Posse Meet up June 2.

For April and May we have had Pen Posse Socials. Some members have made mention that they would like to get together more often so we have been hosting these Socials. Because some members are coming from the Denver and the Colorado Springs area we have met in Castle Rock.

Thank you for whomever posted all the links to the places to go for information.

I'm doing my best to share information with everyone.

One way to make sure you are on the email list is to use the contact page from the Pen Show website . www.coloradopenshow.com/contact-us or send an email to information@coloradopenshow.com

Please feel free to contact me via FB, Instagram .

Been a member of FPN, but I have never really used it much, so I'm not sure about how notifications will work if you reach out to me here. I'll do my best to check back periodically.

Thanks

Mishelle Reine

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
