Spare Feed For Jowo?

Hey folks,

Anyone knows where to get a Jowo or Jowo compatible feed? (I know there's flex nib factory but their feed is more expensive than the original nib unit itself!) I broke one while experimenting with it...

Jowo nibs fit the feed in a Jinhao. The same Jowo nib fits in a Bock housing. Bock nibs fit in a JOWO housing. Based on that I'd say - go for it. The cost is quite reasonable.

Alternatively you could buy a nib with feed/housing from FPnibs.

Add lightness and simplicate.

Yeh..I found another link selling 10 of those feeds for around $1 so i went for it. Will report back to the forum if it works.

Let's hope that 10 pack works. I read somewhere recently of a person who ordered such a pack and the geometry was sufficiently different that they didn't fit. Crossed fingers!

FPNibs in Spain will sell JoWo feeds on their own. (They're leftovers from when people buy just the nibs on their own.) I asked them about it last year and I think they quoted about 50p each.

If you end up approaching them, perhaps you could ask for a cheapo posting arrangement given the very low value of the feeds.

Just an update on this topic. The 10-set fountain pen 'tongue' finally arrived from China. As far as I can tell they are genuine Jinhao feeds. They fit snugly into Jowo housing. They are arguably better than the original Jowo feed with increase flow. I recommend them if your Jowo feed suffers from ink starvation.

Can you link to the auction or site where you got them? I actually had a 10-pack of tongues wishlisted on ebay but removed them after reading this and similar threads, and I'd cleaned out and put away my two Jinhaos. Maybe I'll take a chance again....

Try looking up "fountain pen accessories" on eBay.com. Should be there.

Here's one that I found.

Thanks, (or) Hope that helped,

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
