Hi everybody!

 

Im getting started with the fountain pen passion. I have a Waterman cf and Im trying to get it ready to write, but Im struggling a little bit. Ive read many of this forum posts and they are very useful.

¡Hola y bienvenido! I really do not have much to say except that I, too, am a new member. I would usually just lurk a while, but I joined with the intention of using the classifieds to sell a pen, and just learned that I need 30 days and 30 posts to do it. So, I guess that is motive to talk more... How is your Waterman doing now?

Welcome to the forum ! You have to remember just this : practice makes us better, so keep pn writing with the fountain pen. You'll love it and you won't ever go back !

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
