Krishna Antarjaami Dhhanu Udhaak Aka Banana Yellow

My first review! TLDR: I would not recommend this ink. After it dries, and even after blotting it remains tacky and smears easily. The color is great though! The sheen is really cool, it looks wet even when "dry"!

Grats on your first review! Nicely done, too. The ink looks interesting, too bad about the performance issues.

Thanks for looking! I have confirmed that this ink is actually fairly feather-resistant. It shows no feathering on the laser copy paper at work, and post it notes. It's also much more resistant to smudging on these papers, so this ink is actually a very good choice for cheaper papers. It doesn't show its wet sheen as much, however. It still has TONS of character though, even on post-its!

I forgot to add, this ink has no water resistance whatsoever, can be 99% washed from TR paper.

I checked with Vanness and they had a couple bottles left. I'd been wanting to order some KWZ inks from them anyway. Thanks!

So, I *did* buy a bottle back then and I thought I'd posted regarding the disappointing experience I had but I see not.

I first tried it in a Waterman JIF, in which it refused to write. I then tried it in an M200 where it hard-started and skipped so much it was unuseable.

I just received a Stipula Etrira and, casting about for a ink to test it with, I dug this out. Lo and behold, it works a charm in the Stipula.

Flow could be a little better, maybe. The color is lovely, if a bit on the light side, sort of like a lighter KWZ Honey. A little slow to dry on slick Post-its but quick enough on copy. Shades nicely and has tht nice silvery sheen on the right paper.

Overall, pleased though not sure how often I'll use it, with all the pens I have inked, but glad I gave it another go.

Reminds me of Iroshizuku Ina Ho only "stickier"

Looking forward to many more reviews from you 👏🏼 - the first can be the toughest . . .

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
