I bought KWZ Ink's Honey about a year ago (possibly a little bit more) and I put it in a 149 medium nib and wrote and my heart sank. It was so light that I struggled to read it and seemed much more yellow than the samples I'd seen. Fast forward to today and I've just finished rinsing out the 149 after having used Honey in it on a second fill. This time it was really good, nice shading, deep enough pooling to read, and that nice smell. My question is, does this ink darken over time and will it continue to get darker?

Is it possible the feed was clogged before?

Nope. I thought initially it might have been a bit watered down after rinsing the pen but kept the ink in and used at least half before deciding to ditch the rest. Its a bit of a strange one really.

Weird. I'm waiting anxiously for my bottle to come in the mail tomorrow. I really hope it works out because all the reviews I've seen are gorgeous.

What I have now is what I saw in the reviews - it's lovely. I wonder if it is quite light when first made and then maybe darkens down to what it should be.

My bottle laid down a full, rich colour from the outset. A lovely ink, and very nicely lubricated, unlike many in this colour range

And the mail is running late today. Of course.

My bottle came in and I loaded up my 3776 Century with a medium nib. The color is everything I wanted it to be, but at least in that pen it feathers and dries very slowly. I will of course have to try it in one of my drier pens, but I may also have to play with diluting it slightly.

Mine hasn't changed at all since picking it up at the 2017 LA Pen show. Definitely a top 5 ink for me. It's been nice and rich from day one.

Only thing I can think of is perhaps there was some water left deep in your pen barrel when you did the first fill. Maybe?

My bottle of KWZ Honey has darkened over time. Perhaps yours has too.
