Worst Airport For Montblanc?

I just visited the boutique at Punta Cana, Dom Rep, they had a couple of 90 year 146s which I was looking at. Something didnt look right, on inspection the pen was paired with a 145 cap in yellow gold, which someone had forced on and broken the end of the section (so the holes for unscrewing the nib were revealed). The sales assistant had no idea what the problem was even when I showed her, though I could have got the pen for the same price as a Classique (due to it having that tag on it) I left.

 

Any other airport Montblanc disasters to share while I wait for my flight?

A few years ago, I was at this store in the Budapest airport that was not a Montblanc store but a store that carried Montblanc products. I saw an Einstein there, but the nib was damaged. Still kicking myself for not buying it and just sending it back to MB for repair.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
