Cost Estimate?

Hello peeps,

 

May is ask a favour? I recently scored a sterling silver Delta from evilbay. The seller carefully avoided describing or photographing the bend in the nib (widthways midway down both tines) and the loose fitting snap cap.

 

He described it as having minor cosmetic scratches. Which it does but these don't bother me at all as they are very minor.

 

The pen writes still, but he has incorrectly described it, admitted liability for that and offered me a refund to cover the cost of repairs.

 

The nib is GP Steel.

 

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the cost of taking out the bend across the tines and the cost of rebuilding/adjusting the cap lining please?

 

 

 

I suspect, with shipping, these repairs will cost more than I paid for it. ($110) Therefore I will be asking for a full refund if that proves to be the case.

 

Additionally, can anyone name the model/date etc?

Firstly....Sassy Welcome Aboard......Enjoy your time here.....

 

It is a Riflessi..All you need is to have the nib straightened out....or replace with a two- tone steel nib

There are many who could do this...and it would not cost a lot including shipping.

Redacting....when new [years ago] the msrp was $150 usd....perhaps get a full refund and get another that will

write out of the box...........

That is pretty bad.

Ask for a refund, a repair is not worth it.

Seller has refunded me the full price and told me to keep it. I guess I shall hunt out a new nib.
