Sailor Identity & Source - Help Needed

I picked up an unusual Sailor at the LA Pen Show. It appears to be a 1911L in a very sparkly and bright emerald green finish. The picture I posted below fails to begin to capture how bright and sparkly the finish really is. The cap bad has the regular Sailor inscriptions. The Sailor nib has a special logo and says Penpoint, 21K, and Sailor. It is not the standard Sailor packaging I have seen, but is in a flat and not stiff Sailor box with a really nice kimono.

The dealer had three. Each box and cellophane envelope had a sticker with a single digit, though the pen is not marked with any number. I chose the one with a music nib. The others were a zoom nib and a Hard Medium.

I assume this was a special commission for a pen shop or some other purpose. From the single digit numbers on the boxes I assume the edition was small. Google failed to provide any leads for penpoint.

I apologize for the poor hotel bathroom pictures below.

Can anyone help provide more information about this pen?

Wonderful. A perfect pen for Saint Patrick's Day.

As far as the pen is concerned I know nothing other than a "Yes!" reaction. Candy Apple Green?

It does not seem to be a pen that will blend in, but will announce itself everywhere. Nice find. I think I'd pick the Zoom nib.

You had a fine time at the show it does appear.

I have a Sailor with a zoom nib at home, and always wanted to try their music nib, so once I saw it the choice was easy for me.

The color is not for the shy or faint of heart!

How could one NOT have a fine time at a pen show?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
