Hi I have bought a few cheap-ish Chinese fountain pens recently - pens are great but not overly impressed with converters ! Quite fancied a shot of using cleaned cartridges and then injecting them with with bottled ink of my choice ! Anyone know of any retailer who supplies empty international ink cartridges and also recommended supplier of blunt tipped needles ? Any advice on this practice would also be greatly received ! Thanks

I don't think you'll find a supplier of empty carts.

Blunt tipped needles you can buy via thewritingdesk.co.uk, that's where I bought mine.

You need to empty a few cartridges then buy your blunt needles. TWD has kits.  :)

I bet if you asked if he could include an empty International cartridge, he might have one knocking around.  :)

What's wrong with getting some good converters, if the ones your pens came with don't serve? I've bought Schmidt converters via Amazon dot com (3 pack) and they're fine. I also found the Jinhao converters (found some time ago at what is now Birmingham fountain pens) are really good. Seems a bit easier than refilling cartridges, especially since it's not easy really cleaning out one of those...
