The dates aren't posted on the official PenCentral page, of course, but Indy-Pen-Dance has the dates listed as August 3-5. Is this confirmed, or just an educated guess?

Unfortunately, when it comes to the DC Show, it seems like everything is a guess until close to the last minute.  Last year's fiasco was widely reported.  I wonder what it will be this year?

Yeah, I remember that. I was a little surprised to see the Kennedy's posting of the date this early, so i thought I'd look for some confirmation.

I emailed them (Indy Pen Dance) over the weekend and asked but have yet to hear back. I asked on a facebook group where the organizer of the show visits on occasion - no response.

UPDATE - got an email response from Indy Pen Dance:

"According to the promoter, those are firm dates."

I'm going to run with that!

Wow--this is early. I guess it's the same place as last year.

It's the same time frame as two years ago, when it was still at the old site.

Which means that the odds are pretty good I can't go.  Again....  :(

At this point, it's all speculation, and there's no indication yet that there will be a DC show this year.

Ron Zorn of Main Street Pens and a regular here on FPN also has it listed for his attendance. He shows it as August 3-6, which may be a typo since the 6th is a Monday, unless he's just making himself available post-show.

When I went to the Philedelphia Pen Show in January, I picked up the following flyer;

The announcement this early must be a record. Kudus to the organizer and his helpers.

What is a Preshow, I booked a room for Friday night and Saturday night, wondering if worth driving down friday early or late, aka if nothing happening for people friday/friday night...

Also is there any idea of "classes and stuff etc" I missed out on participating in Mr Binder's class for Baltimore

If you want to get into the show on Friday, you have to buy a weekend trader pass.  Otherwise the show is only open to the public on Sat and Sun.  I highly recommend you get the weekend trader pass and come on Friday when there are less crowds (this is what I am doing).

I know Richard is doing the nib workshop again at DC but I forget when sign ups start on his website.  Anyone know?

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)
