I got the Charlie and was wondering if I want to try another eye dropper. I like the simplicity of it, but fear burping! :) Thanks a lot for the information!

Right, I have the same problem with stubs/italics, I forgot for a second there

Have you seen the Rohrer & Klingner Alt-goldgrün? Unfortunately I tried it after I already committed to a whole bottle of the olivine, but I like that green a lot better. It's a bit lighter and leans a little towards yellow. Private Reserve's Avocado looks nice too. I haven't tried too many greens though.

Thanks, however I'm not a big brown user- although I do enjoy the Pelikan Edelstein Smoky Quartz (haha let me know if you want to try that). :)

I hope Bobby can help you.

Sadly, the Delike New Moon I just got from him was not to my liking - even with a bent nib (inked with Monteverde Olivine :) ) it was too narrow for me, and a bit scratchy. Not his fault, of course, and it arrived quickly (in less than 2 weeks).

If you don't like the bent nib (I don't like it for quick writing because it's picky about angle), you can get a Delike nib unit for a regular fine nib. I've got to of their fine nibs and they are near butter smooth and give a rich, wet, Western fine line.

Oh no, daring me to buy a pen I don't need. How can I resist the urge... (checks balance in paypal account) :D

Any suggestions on what to look for?

I am looking for something a little broader than the Delike Fine; from what I'd read and examples I'd seen on paper I was hoping the bent EF might result in a smoother action Fine+ but it didn't work out that way for me. (shrug)

As for the those recommendations, I have the New Moon 2, and she already has the Alpha, lol.

Yeah it can be tough to find a nib broader than Western fine among Chinese pens other than Jinhao.

I see 221 items listed. Did you click the link from the OP?

Very strange... i see "0 results found in all categories" ... the same message when i click on store home....

Could it be that I don't have access to the store because I might be in a location where the seller doesn't ship? Could that be a reason for not being able to view the

Maybe. Here's what I see right now: https://cl.ly/3D1E2B3p3l20

Maybe you could log in via a VPN (there are free ones if you Google) and see what happens when you change your location to USA.

Yes... it is a geographical issue.. the seller does not ship to my location...

oddly enough... i could see his items on the eBay app on my mobile...

Having heard nothing but good things about "Bobby" I gave it a shot and placed my first order 3 months ago. At the time, I was looking at some of the NOS Wing Sung pens that he has available. Communication was great, shipping was fast considering his location and the pens were top notch. Tried it again with a couple of Kaigelu pens not available on other sites. Once again, excellent service and stellar product. Wish more sellers were this way but at least we can support the one that is. Will be making more purchases in the future ( is it a hobby or an addiction?).

I was wondering. Why is the Moonman M2 100$? I've seen it for 20$ elsewhere. Are they fake?

Thanks,

Danny

$16. On the way. A vast ocean of green ink. In my hand. Way groovy! Or not. We'll see how it writes once it gets here in a month or so. My first ED

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
