actually, no.6 nib unit is not that long ...

but these nibs cannot be interchanged as the housing that takes the nib have different dia...

For sizes, you can see that the Model 4 is almost the same size as model 3... uncapped approx 135mm

below are the pics of some Ranga Pen including Model 3 for comparison alongside Lamy Safari

From top to bottom

1. Ranga Emperor

2. Ranga Model 3

3. Ranga Model 3C

4. Lamy Safari

sorry for out of focus pic

Thank you for the picture it helps a lot!

I looked up nib units since then so I see why it's impossible. I guess I will have to deal with the bigger nib :D And maybe there will be a group buy later with a number 5 nib option. :)

Will submit the form this afternoon, Submitted the form cos who am I kidding, I want this pen X;D

We recently did a comparison photo of the various Ranga models that we carry:

http://www.peytonstreet.com/pens/ranga/ranga_model_comparison.jpg

Some of these are exclusive to Peyton Street Pens, but it will give you an idea at least of how they compare side by side. We have an extensive table of measurements on the web site.

You can't go wrong with a Ranga!

Teri, thanks for the comparison photo. But I can never find it on your website.

It's a new photo, just done last week to incorporate the Emperor. It's been added to most listings as well as the model selection page.

If I want to request a change in the width of the section how do I go about doing that? Are there specific dimensions to choose from?

Kindly put that in comments of order form..

Sorry but the pen comes with only Bock nib options in this group buy...

For pen to be made for JoWo nib unit kindly contact MP Kandan separately on email ... That will be not part of group buy

Form submitted. 3C, yellow - black, matte finish, chrome 1.1 stub and chrome clip. I also added a note about possibly buying an extra nib unit with a fine nib.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
