Lost - Can't Find A Way To Register My Visconti Hs

Hi everyone!

To all of you who have made reviews or answered questions on the Visconti homo sapiens, I want to say thanks as it just arrived and Im loving my new grail pen. I dont think I will find myself buying another pen in a long time as my collection is getting a little too cumbersome.

I just want to know how I can register my pen as it came with a booklet with a serial number on the back and the website for visconti is definitely not helpful. I also read that there was a Visconti club or something, but that was from a post back in 2010 and I dont know how relevant it is at the moment.

I really want to know if the whole registration process/club thing is no longer running or if Im just being silly and cannot find the right website.

much thanks in advance!

Leo

There is a serial number on the back of a booklet that says to register at www.visconti.it

So I'm just asking to know what the go is.

Out of curiosity I've headed over at the Italian website and read around. No indication or link on where to register their pens.

Maybe they need to be contacted directly for this service?

Hey Leonil. I cant remember now how I did it but a few years back I registered a few viscontis. I thought it was a club of people from around the world that had expensive Viscontis. Now, when I think about it was really just a waste of time. It really has no bearing on when you might send in your pen for repairs or just regular maintenance. Registering your pen gives you the feeling of exclusivity, but its really nothing. At least thats how I feel about now

I appreciate the responses - maybe its something they dont do anymore becasue I thought I was just being dumb and couldnt see/find the link.

Its not that I care about being part of a club, I just thought it was important to have a serial number registered (if it mattered or not.)

Much thanks for the responses, It helped me figure out if it was me or the website. It seems like a site problem.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
