Hence I am wanting to contact them and buy some nibs and a pen probably,

Therefore could anyone help me,

Also what is the price of:

2)#6 flex

3)#6 fine

4)#6 medium

5)#6 broad

6)#6 1.1 Italic

I am from India Maharastra

I have bought nibs from them several times contacting Mr Awasthi through their fb page as well as by email (kanpurwriters@gmail.com). They will send their latest catalogue and prices once you initiate contact.

Edit: Attaching the catalogue I have in my email.

I can attest to this -- I recently established contact via gmail and WhatsApp (their cellphones are on the website), and they were quick to send me catalog and price list. The next step is to create a spreadsheet with the pens and nibs that you require, and send it via email. They typically print it out, write the prices, and send a picture back to you. Payment has to be handled via transfer to their bank account. (If you are in India, that's easy, else for international members' either have someone in India transfer the amount and PayPal it to that person, or work something out). They ship international, and it is a quick and painless process.

International buyers can make payment via PayPal; their PayPal ID is identical to their email address: "kanpurwriters@gmail.com". Also you place order by emailing them directly, and they will write the cost breakdown on paper and snap a photo for your reference.

I have been having delays in getting back to me by email. Is this common?

Originally, I tried to initiate the conversation by directly sending an email to their account, but couldn't get any reply. Then I tried using the "Enquiry" portal on the Kanwrite website to inquire about the purchasing process, and they got back to me by email relatively quickly. Maybe that's the way to go.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
