Hey everyone,

My name is Meena. I was born and raised in the City of Angels. I have loved Montblanc's since I was 11 years old. I have always admired them and loved spotting them in movies, on people, or seeing a store. Anyway my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer in 2015. So her crazy...went and got me a Limited Edition Writers Edition Saint de Exupery for my Birthday on December 14th 2017. When I asked her why, she said she wanted to see one of my dreams come true before she passed away!!! I know :( So, thats what brought me to the fountain pen world. Lastly, I am collecting any and all pink fountain pens if anyone wants to sell let me know first!

Much Love,

Meena

P.S.

How do I put a profile picture up? Thanks in advance!!!!

Welcome, Meena !

While in hospice, my Mom embroidered the front panel of a cushion. My sister had it framed for me.

With all that was going on, she thought of you. ('nuff said) The Montblanc fountain pen will last for generations !

In your daily writing, uncapping the Montblanc will be like getting a hug. What's your favorite ink for the Montblanc ?

We are blessed people to have such loved ones!!!! Thanks to you, every time I uncap my baby ill remember those hugs!!!! I am new to the fountain pen world. So I have only one Ink color right now. That she chose when she got the pen. The Montblanc Royal Blue. I love it! As does SBREBrown. He gives an extensive review on it. Way more detail than I could ever give. Whats your favorite pen?

Welcome to our little corner of the universe from a pen user in San Diego.

Hey! I lived in SD for a few years when I was at SDSU. Also, we go down a few times a year, because I have family in Poway! Are you planning on coming up to L.A. for the pen show next month?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
