The montblanc new Ink Elixir has been available and there will be 3 color on market first.

The Montblanc brochure said (apologize for my poor english):

At ancient time, the color made from shell and plant, is has fantastic performance for writing.

So , a tribute to royal and ancient ingredient and way to make ink,

3 different color was chosen and made by pure Nature material.

~ A reprise of 2016?

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/305774-montblanc-golden-elixir-collection/

The news release date is 2 January, 2018, with the curious use of “2017/2018”.

Odder still is a recommended “RSP” (Retail Selling Price) of “60€”.

After years of regularly receiving promotional material from Montblanc China, that's the first instance of any price being mentioned, let alone in Euros, rather than Renminbi.

Something unprecedented for 2018?

Who knows?

60 each or for the set? Im afraid I know the answer and its not cheap.

~ Mulrich:

After a more careful reading, and comparison with genuine Montblanc China promotional material from past years, what's posted above seems all the more anomalous.

The design isn't the sophisticated look that all previous Montblanc China news releases or advertisements have used.

The crowded text, the strange mix of Chinese characters and French.

The giveaway that something is amiss and this may be bogus is in the text of the three supposed inks.

Both “Pourpre色” and “Azur色” are printed in italics, but “Violet de Cobalt色” is not.

Would Montblanc's skilled marketing department overlook such a flaw?

Again, why would it state “RSP” when no other Montblanc China news release or advertisement has ever done so?

Why would it show “DE 60€”, when a German price using Euros would be unprecedented here in China?

Montblanc China doesn't include dates on their news releases or advertisements, yet this says 2 January, 2018.

If that's the intended date, why would the “Elixir inks” be described with the very odd “2017/2018”?

Richemont and Montblanc heretofore have never distributed such shoddy promotional material.

Why would they abruptly change now.

Unless, of course, there's something less-than-genuine about this offering.

Those paper material is not released from offical Montblanc China of course.

Those paper is part of training material PPT intend for montblanc store staff, let those sales staff know what new montblanc product.

beacuase those PPT are internal use only, so it was print and type not rigorous.

and those PPT for ink information was made on Summer of 2017 when headquarter sent us the original Germany language version briefing, then our internship young lady made this PPT for internal use.

I can only leak this page of PPT now, because it is not classified until today.

I have 2018 POA or Writer information PPT, for obviously reason I cannot leak it today or I maybe fired.

Thanks

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
