Today I was at a local department store and happened to pop in the Line paraphernalia shop. I discovered a pile of elegantly stacked Lamy x Line "Brown in the Red" fountain pen boxes. Apparently, they are the same pens from the release in 2015, and are limited edition restocks of the 2015 line x Lamy brown Safari pens. They came out last year in September. I don't have a photo, but I have a website source:

I couldn't stop myself from purchasing one, especially considering that they were priced at 54,000 won (50 USD, expensive here) the price for an average Safari in Korea. They are on sale on eBay for about 100 USD. :rolleyes:

 

I will post photos when I get the chance, but it comes in a really nice red tin with some new accessories. Plus, mine came with the new Lamy converter.

 

So, if you end up finding a Line shop, pop in and see whether or not it has a couple of boxes waiting for you. You might, want to, ahem, bring your wallet.

Line store in Taiwan has them at 1700 Taiwan dollars. No lines to buy them and no limits regarding the number you can buy.Brown is a nice colour.Thanks, FlippyThePen for the information.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
