I have a Namiki Faceted Vanishing point, but the nib unit itself seems to be of the modern variety - the only thing is, it's branded "Namiki." It seems normal, but the date code is A206, which, as I understand, is far away from the age of Namiki branded VPs. What gives?

it seems that the pen you have is older than the nib. On Carmen Rivera's website, the 2006 pen in the picture is not the faceted, and the nib is marked Pilot A306 (Manufactured in March 2006)

Looking at my faceted Namiki, it is Namiki on the Clip and on the nib. (A898)
