i recently purchased a Baoer 388 fountain pen and rollerball, and I'm pleased.

At a meeting today, however, it would have been great to have a matching, or at least similar (metal finish) mechanical pencil. I searched the Bay, and there are only a few pencils there, and none of them suitable.

Don't the Chinese use pencils? Does anyone know of an inexpensive pencil from China? Or anywhere else???

Thanks, and Happy Holidays to all.

Bob

You're right, but take a look at some of the Japanese Pencils. Mitsubishi makes some very nice ones for not a lot of money.

I really like the Kurotoga 0.5 that I have. They also have a wide assortment of different colored leads for them.

Buy a Sonnet pencil? The only inexpensive, Chinese pencil that comes to mind, aside from unbranded lead holders, is the Red Circle & that's apparently not too good, aside from not matching the 388.

Thanks to Zookie and NinthSphere for useful suggestions. I will check out the Kurutoga and the Sonnet.

Anyone else?
