Lady Charlotte? Help I.d.

Hello

 

I'm new here. I was given this lovely fountain pen in the late 80's. I used it for many years and I would like to use it again.

 

First, is this a Lady Charlotte? If not, please help identify it for me.

 

Second, which Waterman cartridges do I purchase? I recently bought some standard international cartridges by Monteverde but they are slightly too large in circumference.

 

Third, how to I care for the nib so that the ink will flow again? I haven't used the pen in many years.

Yes, early Lady C in speckled red lacquer.

The only 'firm' cartridges are Waterman International short or mini.

Soak the complete section in warm soapy water over night. If original, the LC nib is gold plated steel so be aware of corrosion if it is left for long periods in contact with ink. The same applies to the gold plated brass ring adjacent to it. Though not steel but brass, ink acids can get under the gold plate and attack it.
