Toledo White Tiger,

are there any more white pens Pelikan made?

I think that's what I want to collect. I do hope they make more in the future, as I find the black/brown cap, section and piston knob, too plane and boring, and Pelikan is one of my favorites. I even decided to sell 1/3 of my pens as it seems I rarely use them, and pelikans, I miss them after only a few days.

I chase the nib....and there are some 45 or so nibs in different widths and flexes, if one alternates stub and CI.

Why should one only collect one color....................there are ever so many beautiful 600's.......more 400's than I thought....same of the 200.

Collecting only one color, will concentrate the money.

There will be dry spells.

Thanks for the reply! It's not that I collect only one color. I like Pelikan but don't fancy the black color. If instead of black section, cap, and piston knob, they would make different colors, I'd be all over them. I know there's a red and yellow toledo, and some full demonstrators, but there's a limit to the amount of money I'm willing to pay for pens.

P.s. And I'm not really into vintage pens. I tried an older pelikan nib, and I didn't like it's softness. It felt flimsy. But don't get me wrong, I don't like nails either. If pelikan nibs would have the same softness as lamy gold nibs, they'd be perfect. As far as I'm concerned, pelikan comes closest to perfection for me, I'm talking about m400/600, as I haven't tried bigger. I like light pens.

When ever you get a chance you should post some pics of your white beauties. My only white pen is VP with black nib.

Ha ha! I don't have all the pens I mentioned. Just 2 of them. I like the journey not the destination. But I do have a few other white pens. Excuse my poor camera quality.

You're missing the fairly recently released M605 white on white.

Yes, there is one more white Pelikan not listed--the Pelikan M620 New York (city series). I thought of getting that as well, but the white looks a bit greyer in person; in any case, it is a cooler tone of white. I would love for Pelikan to release more with white barrels and ends too! I really like writing with my white tortoise (my favorite pen), and recently purchased the M605 transparent. It is not as warm as the white and gold look.

I missed that one, but even if it was still available, I'm least fond of it. To me, the pattern on that one, always made me think of cows. :)

How about M100 OS White Stormtrooper?

Yes, thats the one I was going to suggest. Seems like a pretty inclusive list otherwise. How about the recent Zeus which is white and rose gold.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

There is also a P450 Stormtrooper. You see them on ebay occasionally, here's one up now

Is the M100 OS White Stormtrooper easy to find in the secondary market?

There are currently 5 up on ebay, 3 FP-only and 2 FP/BP combos.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
