Lamyusa.com is having a killer sale on their remaining items. 25% off $25+, 50% off $50+, and 60% off $60+. Plus free shipping on orders over $55.

I just got a Lamy Studio Palladium FP (w/gold nib), a spare gold nib, and a Safari/Filofax bundle for $139 shipped :) The spare Lamy gold nibs at $44 each are a steal.

(no affiliation w/Lamy, just an excited customer :) )

Just FYI, the current sale now has Charged Green Al-Star for $14! LX are back to $21, and there are some other pens at 70% off. Not the nicer fountain pens or the gold nib, but still. Lamy Pacific ink bottle is $3.15. Free shipping within USA over $55.

I had just bought a Gold Lx at full price, so I was a little heartbroken to see this sale. Then I bought a Ruthenium Lx for $21 and felt better. :)

You know, I really don't need any more pens or any more ink. And, yet, there's a $14 Charged Green Al-Star and a $3.15 bottle of Pacific Blue ink on their way to me right now. :D

I have a mini rainbow collection of Lamy pens now (also with Charged Green on the way) and a bunch of Lamy nibs to house different relatively matching inks for easy access and visual distinction. I like them for that, and the ease of swapping nibs.

Thanks so much for posting the sale.

Time will say nothing but I told you so.

Really tempted by this sale. Do I need a third bottle of Pacific Blue? Probably not....

Couldn't tell which colors of the LX pens were still available, though. I had been waffling -- but $21 is cheaper than I paid for a Safari....

All colors of LX are still available (though not all nib sizes) except for Rose Gold.

I posted about the sale on Facebook, and as a result a friend is getting her first Lamy pen, too. If you've been meaning to try the brand, this is a really great time to do it.

I didn't really need a bottle of Pacific Blue, either, but for $3.15, there was really just no way I was going to leave it. :D I'm a huge turqoise fan, though, so I'm not really very worried that I'm not going to use it.

I thought I was going to get away without buying a pen, as the LX colors don't especially speak to me. And then I saw the Charged Green Al-Star -- which I'd been thinking about getting back when it first came out -- for $14. Couldn't pass that one by, either. (It kinda matches our Alien Green Kia Soul, which I like.)

I've also had an eye on Charged Green. It's going to be used with my Papier Plume "Moss Green" ink. Not an exact match, but similar enough. I love the combo as a highlight with Lamy "Petrol" (in Petrol Safari, heh). I really wish they had the Purple (burgundy?) and Pacific Al-Stars still in stock.

Another impulse buy so there is a green Safari, charged green SE ink

and a ballpoint (need one for those times that fp's aren't usable) on

the way.

I got 2 bottles of Pacific Blue (I use it for copy editing ... like it better than using red), and I was going to order 2 of the LX colors (For the price of $21, too good of a deal) but I was under the $55 free shipping amount so ... I added the 3rd LX color.

Very happy with the purchase :-)

Right now the LX's are cheaper than the All Stars, that store literally had very few things left. I picked up several bottles of the ink. I actually liked the ink.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
