Do you live in California?  I do, and I see similar Prop. 65 warnings every time I go to the grocery store.  I take it to mean Substance X (fill in the blank) contains a chemical which if pulverized, toasted, basted, sautéed, licked, masticated, sniffed, inhaled, inserted in the ear canal, or whatever, could be carcinogenic.  I don't lose any sleep over it.

Everything is known by the state of California to cause cancer.  Personally, I think it only causes cancer in the state of California, so I don't go there...

Is it true that this labelling sometimes appears on some fresh fruit, seeds, nuts and vegetables (even organic ones)?

Good thing I accidentally cracked my con70 while trying to disassemble it. Now I only have to worry about everything else in my house that causes cancer.

California: the land of fruits, nuts, and cancer. (Coming from a born and raised Californian...)

Why would you try to disassemble it?  Did the plunger mechanism fail on you?

Sorry to hear of the breakage.

I've recently had to take mine to bits to clean and put a little spot of grease on the pump parts.  I hadn't used it for a while, it was dry and I couldn't get it to prime and pull ink for some reason.  It's worked like a champ since.  It is over 10 years old though so entitled to need a little maintenance I think.

The collar at the back under the button screws off allowing you to draw out the works and clean/ lube.

Also, Disneyland has Prop 65 warning signs. I am not surprised that a CON-70 has one too. I prefer CON-40/50 for different reasons though.  ;)

I hadn't been to Cali yet, but I just thought Cali's government loved its residents far more than the rest of the states love theirs. My state doesn't give me any heads up when I'm about to touch something that might be carcinogenic lol. But then again, California might be seen as an overprotective mom to her children.
