Where there appears to be dark sections of the pen body....turn the pen over of flick it a bit in other light and the dark parts vanish.

I have to ask the guy for permission to use his fine pictures.....my Brownie just don't quite do it.

Seeing how I bought my pen from him, I don't see any reason why not.

There are some very nice pics on Instagram right now. Mine will be delivered tomorrow along with the Ocean Swirl.

No word on mine but hoping it will ship soon. I ordered the FP along with matching ballpoint from LCDC and hope it does not get held up in Chicago customs as an order was held almost 3 weeks there about this time last year.

I finally got around to asking permission, a bit late in the business day, in I bought the pen from them I don't see why they won't let me use one of their photos.

My '90's 400 tortoise has a dark brown cap and piston cap; one has to put the pen next to a black one to see the deep brown.

The very, very dark brown of this 200's cap and piston cap...makes the dark brown of the old 400 obvious....and one does have to look very hard at black to see the bit of brown.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
