I know it might be early but does anyone have any info on the show.

I have seen the Website but there is no listing for the vendors attending

this year. I hope the weather holds out as this is what I consider my home

show.

Also curious about what vendors will be there and any other details at all. Its usually a pretty good show, but I think it likely has room to grow.

SusanWirth.com has the show listed on her Show page.

RichardsPens seems to be skipping it, but his page shows he'll be at the Baltimore and Long Island shows.

Last year's vendors are listed at https://philadelphia...ow.com/vendors/

Looking for to my Home Show in Philly!

We will be in the Ballroom with 4 tables.

Always a decent show with good turnout, and a nice mix of new and vintage items!

A little over a week away and still no update on the vendors attending

the show other those mentioned above. It is my home show so I will

attending no matter what. It would be nice if there was more info.

Do shows have people selling Pilot nibs? I've been enjoying my new Pilot Metropolitan in M but I'd like to try a Pilot B nib. I don't see loose ones for sale, just Pilot 78G models in B on sale on ebay for around $18-$24.

That's unlikely.

Generally speaking, Pilot doesn't sell nibs separately.

Oh well. (Looks like my upgrade path past newbiehood will be with another brand so I can play and learn with different quality nibs.) I'm sure I can find other things to ogle and buy at the show.

I will be at the Show with Indian Ebonite Pens, Yoshi Nakama Pens, some miscellaneous ones, and will be doing nib work.

If you want to play around with different nibs I would suggest an Esterbrook. There are so many different nibs for them and you just screw them in.

Thanks. I ended up going for a deal on a new Safari (M) and a Lamy LX (B ) for $35 (despite some misgivings about the grip), and they're supposedly in the mail now. This should give me a good range of nibs to explore, alongside with my Metropolitan (Japanese M), Penmanship (Japanese EF) and Preppy (Japanbese F) but I already anticipate giving away the Penmanship because the nib is too narrow for regular writing and the Preppy because I keep choosing the Metropolitan over it.

Good idea -- Lamy has replacement nibs that you can swap out.

And they're really easy to swap -- I watched someone at a table at OPS show another potential customer how to do it.

Due to resource constraints it will be held in Fairmount Park. Oildrums and firewood will be provided to all vendors.

Hello,

This will be my first time at the Philly Show! Does anyone have suggestions on good local food places in walking distance from The Westin? Im always curious to know what places are great to stop at outside of the hotel.

Thanks!

There's a place on 17th about a block away on the other side of the street from the Westin called MeltKraft. I ate there last year and it was good - specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches.

That's what Philadelphians call health food.

It would be a Philly superfood if it was grilled cheese using soft pretzels as bread.

There are plenty of food options near Westin, and it really depends on what you like. My fav is NafNaf, a Mediterranean place that has great falafel. If you like burgers, Devil’s Alley on Chestnut is a great choice. When in doubt, go down to Reading Terminal market on the 12th and Filbert, they have a wide range of great food including Amish diner... now that’s as local as it gets! Enjoy!!

Chinatown is within walking distance of the hotel, depending on temperature.

Decent temps predicted, though supposedly Philly will see rain on Friday.
