Hi fountain pen friends !

Just finished a Kingsize Bulkfiller prototype in a astonishing  bleu “speckled” celluloid.
The dark bleu base color is speckled with white an light brown spots.
Unfortunately this pen  will most probably remain” one of a kind” since I only had material to make one pen.
I really love this material, in my opinion its even more beautiful as the famous Tibaldi Impero.
As far as I know this celluloid originates from Visconti being named “ lapis bleu ",
Most probably not available on the regular market..
Would love to find more of this exquisite  material !
Best regards,
Francis

Wonderful pen! The ink window goes with the material quite well.

I think this is the material Pelikan made for their "Originals of Their Time" series of pens. I think Delta also used it for a run of pens.

I believe the Visconti lapis has gold/ brown portions instead of white.

Either way, a lovely pen and another tease. I personally still like the Tibaldi Impero bilkfiller pens better... it's probably why I have 2 of them. :)

Hi Zaddick,

Thanks or your input on the origin of the celluloid !

I've looked at the celluloid Pelikan and Delta used, but it looks the celluloid I've used is effectively originating from Visconti. See the attached Visconti picture.

Absolutely stunning Francis! I hope you can find more of this beautiful material... (it would complement my celluloid Bulkfillers rather well, don'tcha think? ;) )

Too many pens; too little writing.

This was also the celluloid used in the Kaweco Combimatic, no?

Gorgeous. What nib is that? Unbranded #8 Bock..?

I like to write or make short videos about my fountain pens such as the Conid Bulkfiller or Pilot Urushi 845 BB:

Wow! That looks absolutely incredible. Too bad there's no more material left.

I do wonder though: Now that Delta is going out of business, is there any indication of what will happen to Delta's stock of celluloid? Will there be a liquidation sale like with Omas?

Delta's Pompeii celluloid and their brown cracked ice celluloid were gorgeous. Maybe some penmaker(s) will be able to get some of those rods. A Kingsize Bulkfiller in one of Delta's celluloid materials would be hard to resist.

Hi Francis,
This one is beautiful and has potential !!!
It make me think a bit to the Rotring 1928, but with even better appearance
Also to the "Flanders Field" pen which was limited.
See also my request/proposal at the hard rubber pen's fir a carbon or stainless line.
A hot hit again...
