Hi all,

Several years ago I was gifted a Waterman Supermaster Rollerball, and somehow lost it around the year 2002. The pen was a deep (cobalt?) blue, and had much sentimental value to me.

I do have a Laureat, but its just not the same!

Does anyone know shops where I might find one?

Many thanks,
Patricia

I think I can honestly say I have never seen an RB or for that matter the working end of one.

This 1988 catalogue page may well show the Blue you had.

As for sourcing one, ebay or other auctions may be your only option.

PS. Is it the rippled grip or the slightly larger diameter of the Laureat you do not like. If the latter I would suggest looking out for an Executive or Exclusive because they are nearer to the SM's girth and more readily available.

Hi Patricia

I would advise to do some posting to get over the minimum (I forgot what it was) so that you could put an ad in the classifieds. I feel that this would greatly increase your chance for success. It being a roller ball, the odds are already lower than for a fountain pen. But a few years ago, I bought a few nice RBs here on the FPN.

I was drawn to your location, Milwaukee. I lived there until I retired. I was also born there, so I have many pleasant memories. I fact we were visiting a few weeks ago.

Hi Patricia

Pen Tom gave you a good advice.

See that you get to 30 relevant posts here on FPN (not in Chatter) so you can place a WTB.

and for the rest it's searching Ebay.

And please no trading here in the regular forums.

Thanks; it’s partly the rippled grip, but mostly sentimental, wanting to find the exact pen I once had.

I think I can honestly say I have never seen an RB or for that matter the working end of one.

I’ll work on the posting.

Milwaukee is a great city; more than just beer brewing gong on here.

Got it. Sorry; I’ve been missing that special pen for so many years now.
