I just purchased a Repeater in mint condition with the box and instruction sheet. It was sold as damaged, and after I received it, I noticed that someone had tried to load a square-four into it, probably from the front. I pulled the square lead out, and as it still had some original leads in it (shaky shake ), found that it works just fine  :D .

It's a beautiful pencil!

I have a question however. It takes the red top leads, but they come in different lengths. Does it matter which one I use?

Use the shorter lead. They usually come in a tube about 1-1/2" long. A good source of lead is The Legendary Lead Co. at https://www.legendaryleadcompany.com
