Prototypes Kingsize Bulkfiller In Japanese Hard Rubber

Hi all,

Attached a picture showing 3 new Kingsize prototypes I've just finished in my shop.

These pens are made in the beautiful Japanese "Nikko" ebonite.

As you can see the material features a nice - kind of pearly - color pattern which I surely like!

The pattern is however less visible on the bleu version…

What do you think, should I try to convince Conid in producing these?

I think they're wonderful. Elegant with clean lines, which is right up my alley. My favorite color is blue, so that one in particular makes me drool.

 

Unfortunately, Conid's excellent pens are out of my price range, but I imagine these would sell as fast as they could be produced.

I'd fear having the ebonite of a fairly expensive (to me) pen degrade if I used it as often as I'd like. I know this fear isn't necessarily rational.

Not my favorite, I would go for a solid black Ebonite instead, just my personal preference.

that green and red are lovely. I'd definitely consider them. That slight pearlescence is very subtle and beautiful

I'd be interested in learning what pen or nib was used to write "Japanese Hard rubber Prototypes". It looks like an OBB or OBBB or some kind of architect's nib.

I like the red one best. I'm not a fan of olive green.

I doubt I will ever be able to buy a King Size, but I've played with the idea of getting a Minimalistica. One in this material would convince me to pull thee trigger. Love the green one. A very dark purpulish grey would be amazing.

@Scylax: Yes , all Bulkfillers versions feature an ink window.

@ Bleujay & Dannyboy : the text is ( quickly! ) written using a "Pilot parallel pen" with a 2mm calligraphic nib.

I've started experimenting writing Gothic script lately, not easy, but very relaxing !

As you surely realize the text on the picture was simply written with my normal hand script, not Gothic !

PS: Just curious : what would be your preferred clip shape of the ones mounted on these three pens?

All 3 pens look great, but my favourite would be the blue one. I prefer the clip shape on the blue one.

As they are made from Ebonite, will they absorb ink when dipped into ink for filling? My Monarch does absorb ink.
