Hey Folks!!

This is a shoutout to all Australian/Victorian/Melbournian members of the FPN to say that the 2017 MELBOURNE PEN SHOW is officially a thing!

OK, so the show this year is SUNDAY the 26th of NOVEMBER. 9:00am - 4:00pm at the MALVERN TOWN HALL. (Cnr Glenferrie Rd & High St), in Armadale.

159.jpgMalvern Town Hall. Big ol' white Victorian building with a clock-tower on top. Can't miss it!

Please be advised this THIS YEAR we will be having a COFFEE CART and MACAROON CART parked out in the lobby if you guys get hungry after lookin' at all those pens and nicknacks, antiques, inks and paper thingies.

Admission is $10 a-head, folks under 18 years old go free.

To get there by Public Transport is Tram Routes #16, or #6 (they both park right outside the hall).

We are in the MAIN HALL. Just find the big front doors and head straight in.

We are expecting a total turnout of approx 37-40 tables this year, with clubs, private sellers, collectors, and exhibits. There will be a pen-turner, and show-bags and all kinds of fun stuff! Bring your kids, bring your wives. Bring your sweethearts. Bring your wives and your sweethearts! Bring your boyfriends, girlfriends...just...no pets.

PLEASE BE ADVISED that the venue, and the sellers/dealers there-present, are operating largely on a CASH-MONEY basis. You wanna buy stuff? You better have cash. It is unlikely that EFTPOS is going to be available.

If you don't have cash, then your show-bag will have a map showing you where you can GET cash, within the immediate vicinity of the show.

If anybody reading this has questions about the show, please just post them below. I'm on the planning committee here, so should be able to answer anything that you might want to know!

Cheers!

P.S.:

Any international / foreign FPN members in Melbourne in late November are also invited to attend. Please make yourselves known. Melbourne has great pen and paper shops, a lots of things to see!

Interestingly every table I bought from accepted cards :D gotta love those PayPal portable terminals.

Only place I needed to use real cash was at the entry booth ;)
